A journey Continues Update#001
Hello!
Its been a week since we first uploaded Clover and we are excited to put out an update. Hopefully we can continue with weekly updates as we continue to improve our game.
This week we did a lot of focus on business side of things, and didn't get much done with the game development portion. Also with the holidays it has caused us to have even less time. The goal is though, come January this will be our primary focus and our updates here and with the game will have more substance.
With that said we do want to talk about some of the things we are working on in the background. Like our social pages! We hope to have those up and running soon or early January. I (Fortunes) will also have a regular streaming schedule setup on twitch (maybe youtube) to show the development process. We also plan to showcase the artwork Pain&Suffering will be doing. There is alot to look forward to come January. We are also considering joining a game jam to take a break from developing Clover.
The big thing we were able to accomplish this week is getting a HTML version of Clover exported and running on itch. The current version is a testament to how much work and optimization needs to be done as well as a showcase to the struggles encountered when developing your first game. We could easily take this version down because of how ugly it looks, but we want to be transparent with the process so we will be showcasing not only our successes, but also our failures.
Note from Pain&Suffering: Fortunes was aware that mac users could experience issues with the browser and he said nothing to me other than, "You should click run game". He is quite a JERKFACE for this as it caused my browser to freeze up and I had to restart it. I will never trust him again when he tells me to click on something... NEVER EVER EVER EVER!
Updates:
- Player movement and jump buffer quality of life improvements
- 1 new level
- html export for playing in browser (issues with mac browser)
- new itch thumbnail (colored version of the previous)
Thank you for supporting us!
