Update from the Team

Hello River Dwellers

Another month and a lot of progress. Although it never really feels like it. This month we did a lot of focus on building out the first town for the main game. We don't want to show it off just yet, but for the demo we have added the time trial controller. The NPC for it still needs to be designed, and the rewards as well. We plan to have several time trials around the world of Clover, amongst other things. Of course to get the faster times the player will need to have some of the future abilities we have designed as well as know how to use the terrain to their advantage. For now we are just putting the basics out there for testing.

Also we implemented a wrapping mechanic because we expect the world that Clover lives in to be fairly large. We did this because we wanted to make the world feel connected, even if it was a two dimensional world. Being able to continuously travel around the world is something we hope you enjoy.

Finally we noticed that the controller inputs are mis-matched in the web build. We are going to take some time this next month to look at controller inputs as well. Sorry for any inconvenience this has causes.

Game Updates

    Added

      World Wrapping: You can now run indefinitely either left or right and you will be able to revisit locations
      Time Trials: To partake the player needs to retrieve the charm from the finish line, and then the liaison will allow you to attempt the trial.
