How Many Where There?

This is a memory type game that increases the number of things the player will need to memorize every round. It starts off simple, but rapidly increases in difficulty.

This memory game uses a boid simulation with multiple colored arrows moving around the screen to challenge the players.

Inspiration

The first Fox Hollow Game Jam had a theme of Overload and a sub theme of Millars law which describes how many objects a person can keep in memory at a time. This game is meant to overload the player while challenging them to be efficient in how they store objects in their memory. To help people not be overloaded it is recomended not to remember seeing any boids that occured less than once. This is because you will only be asked about the colors that appeared on screen. As the number of boids on screen increases remembering their locations and counting becomes very difficult even as you group the boids.

Future Plans

Honestly there are no future plans for this game. Fortunes made this game on a whim as he was learning about boids and textures. This learning will likely be used in the future for some cool effects. We hope you enjoy this fun one off game. Eventually we will likely move it off of itch and archive it onto our website.

Message from Fortunes

I hope you enjoy this inspirational game. I built this on a whim while watching learning about Boid simulations and doing some shader work. As we are the judges for the Fox Hollow Game Jam we will not be submitting this game to avoid potential claims of conflict of interst. I hope it can inspire people to make cool projects!

Side Note: Fortunes High Score is 90 so if you manage to beat it you should leave your score in the comments.
